Initial Planning Meeting.

In our first meeting as a production group we looked at different genres of music and analyzed them, we came to a decision on a song; wretch32 – don’t be afraid suggested by Catherine as she felt it would be good to take a different incite on the song, we all agreed.

We then analyzed another song by the same artist, we discovered that this particular artist uses performance however Ashleigh suggested to involve more narrative as well as performance we then disgusted a range of creative ideas for the video looking at it from only a performance style and then all narrative and then both, coming to the general conclusion that we all wanted to involve narrative and performance into our video.

We discussed everyone’s interpretation of the song; everyone seemed to have a similar idea so all our ideas seemed to come together as one.

We printed off the lyrics and looked in detail at what the words and took our own interpretation of the lyrics. Chloe noticed certain lyrics that then took to our interest for our inspiration;

“only you stand in the way..”

“there aint nothing you can do properly”

“hate till your scared of love”

Hannah suggested possible locations we then agreed on locations and discussed appropriate costume and characters. Then moving on to group roles concluding that Catherine and Ashleigh will perform in the video and Hannah and Chloe will be filming the scenes whilst taking note of what went wrong and what we did well in the filming process. However it was a definite decision that we will all give our best effort into working together during editing, working on the blog and helping each other out to work as a good team and create the music video to our best ability.
