Essential R&B the very best of R&B winter R&B is rhythm and blues which symbolises, blues music which originated from the Deep South, Africa. The main focus of the CD cover is the large embosses gold lettering “R&B” this shows the buyer what the CD entails and the colouring states the time of year, more over gold come across as a expensive glamorous colour all the colours used making the CD appeal more to the perspective buyer .The colours used though out the whole cd cover are Black, Gold and white using these all the way though and the same font create a good house style ,the colours used also contribute to making the cd have a winter , warmer feel as the compliment each other and are not cold colours as gold is very flamboyant, and almost demands attention as people are draw to it. Also the use of Black shows sophistication, formality, elegance and wealth the use of colours and the image can make of break the CD as they are the first thing the buyer sees, if the don’t like the look of the CD they will not pick it up.
Furthermore every Essential R&B CD uses a different theme for each season to match what people connote is related to autumn summer spring and winter. But a running theme all the way though each CD cover is they use the same African American women and Latino man showing different ethnic groups show the diversity of the CD and what it might hold.
The Album is very clean cut with only keeping the emphasis on the front cover and the main words “R&B” .The album has some songs which may be inappropriate for children, so the CD on the front cover states a “PARENTAL ADVISORY Explicit Content” Badge So that parents buying the CD no that there child may be exposed to inappropriate words and so fourth this also may hinder the person buying the CD if they look under the correct age.
Situated on the left hand side of the CD cover is a gold box stating two of the top hits at the time of release which are on there CD this will lure the susceptive buy in to the further look at the rest of the tracks and to further buy the CD.
